Our first travel trip of 2015: Amsterdam, Utrecht and Paris

First of all, we’re sorry for not being able to update recently. Even though we know our Visual Journal (a fancy name we give to our blog) is so new not many people probably know us, we try to maintain consistent content as much as we can. Hey, you never know! Maybe one day we will have millions of views!!!

Second of all, the reason behind our disappearance is that we were in Amsterdam and Utrecht in Netherlands and then Paris for a little vacation/business trip. Since we had business to take care of, we just had time to catch up with some old friends whom we haven’t seen in years. But even without all the adventures, time spent with good friends is time well spent.

Here are some pictures during our busy trip. We would have taken more awesome snapshots but please understand. We were biking the whole five days we were in Utrecht and our last three days in Paris were so cold we barely took our hands out of our pockets!

These shots were taken at the older paper store in Amsterdam, Vlieger. When we walked inside this little store, we were totally captivated by the huge selection of paper of all colors, styles and sizes. And they also had a wonderful selection of washi tape, see below.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFlower shops all around the city in Amsterdam and Utrecht even in the middle of the winter.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe visited the Dick Bruna House at Centraal Museum in Utrech. Dick Bruna is a Dutch illustrator and graphic designer who is best known for his creation tof Miffy, a lovely children book character. Since we are two illustration character ourselves, we had a wonderful time meeting Miffy!

They even had a cafe shop with walls of books! Sorry our pictures do no justice to Merci… We were too busy browsing 3 huge floors of awesomeness.
